Early Life
Ram Manohar Lohia was born in Akbarpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, in the district of Faizabad on March 23, 1910. His father Hira Lal and his mother Chanda, were interested in social and political activities, and he was born into a household that valued education and social transformation.
His mother, a teacher, died while he was quite young. Ram's father, a patriot, introduced him to the Indian independence struggle at an early age through various rallies and protest gatherings. The pivotal moment in his life occurred when his father, a
