Volleyball Australia is pleased to announce the players who have been named in the 2025 Junior National Indoor Squads.
The announcement confirms the announcement of the Junior and Youth National Squads as well as the reintroduction of the Pre-Youth National Squad for the first time since COVID.
The Pre-Youth Squad aligns to the new Under16 age group introduced by the Asian Volleyball Confederation in 2023.
The 2nd U16 Asian Volleyball Championships will be held in 2025 with members of the Pre-Youth Squad training and trialing for spots in the Australian team.
“Volleyball Australia’s National Squads are designed to foster continued success at Asian and World Championship level among the most promising athletes in our country,” said Paul Smith,Volleyball Australia National Performance Pathways Manager.
“Members of the squads undergo specialised training camps, receive guidance from national coaches, and have the chance to compete nationally and internationally, including possible selection to the AVC Junior Asian Championships.”
