Louis Chude-Sokei is a Nigerian born, Jamaican raised scholar and writer whose work includes the award-winning, The Last Darky: Bert Williams, Black on Black Minstrelsy, and the African Diaspora (), The Sound of Culture: Diaspora and Black Technopoetics (), the acclaimed memoir, Floating in A Most Peculiar Way () and the German publication, Technologie Und Race: Essays Der Migration ().
