The Cup will feature the 3 best amateur women golfers from 14 countries within the Asia Pacific region. Many of the world’s best LPGA players have contested this important pathway event to enhance their careers including Karrie Webb, Minjee Lee, Shan Shan Feng, Ai Miyazato, Ji Yae Shin, Lydia Ko and Yani Tseng.

History of the Queen Sirikit Cup
The Queen Sirikit Cup is also known as the Amateur Ladies Asia-Pacific Invitational Golf Team Championship. It is very closely intertwined with the Thailand Ladies Golf Association which was registered in February 1979. Given there was no national team championship, and no international ladies events in the region at the time the Association believed such an event would give ladies the opportunity to play at a higher lever and accomplish more for themselves and their countries.
